----- Original Message ----- From: Balbino Cerro APAP Arca de Noé (Albacete)  www.ibichos.com Hola a todos   Este galgo ha sido recogido y traído por el Seprona, lo han recogido en una finca "Villarejos", donde lo habían visto hace un par de días, y ayer tarde pudieron cogerlo y llevaba un lazo cogido al cuello, al intentar quitárselo, del dolor que tenia, hizo acción de poder, pero como estaba deshidratado y sin fuerzas, por el hambre que tenia, no pudo hacer nada y entonces consiguieron quitárselo y llamaron a su veterinario, pues ellos tienen caballos, varios perros y gatos (adoran a los animales), y también llamaron al Seprona, su veterinario, empezó a curarlo, poniéndole pomada para las heridas y antibiotico. Esta mañana se ha presentado el Seprona y ha recogido al galgo y nos cuentan que el tipo de lazo que llevaba, no es habituar, pues era un doble lazo, uno con alambre del corriente y el otro alambre de espino, con lo que las heridas son mas profundas y rasgadoras, este galgo al caer en el lazo, consiguió arrancar el palo que tenia sujeto el lazo y ha estado vagando algunos días por el campo arrastrándolo, hasta que lo cogieron en la finca.   Llego a la finca arrastrándose y anoche no se podía mover, pero le pusieron comida (entre otras cosas un filete de ternera) y agua, y esta mañana le  han dado de almorzar lo mismo y se lo come todo, y cuando lo han traído ya aguantaba (aunque tambaleándose), un poco de pie, pero no puede, aun andar, también le hemos puesto comida y agua, la comida ha desaparecido, casi antes de ponérsela y después nos miraba, como diciendo que, por favor dejarme descansar y lo hemos puesto con una manta y se ha quedado dormido placidamente.   Viene, con infección en las heridas y con una infección tremenda de pulgas y garrapatas, las fotos de las orejas (aunque no se aprecia bien), son porque no tiene oídos, solamente garrapatas, fijaros si es bueno que a pesar del dolor que tiene que tener, no se ha quejado, (solamente cuando lo han traído lloraba un poco), cuando lo han estado curando. ES UN CIELO Y CARIÑOSO.   Juan cree que de no haber ninguna complicación, puede salir adelante, porque por lo que ha pasado y yendo por medio del campo arrastrando el lazo y el palo, es porque es un superviviente y se merece lo mejor del mundo.   El Seprona, nos ha dicho que si presentamos denuncia, que están a nuestra disposición, que el lazo esta en el Cuarter de la Guardia Civil, y que si en alguna finca se encuentran puesto un lazo de esas características, que presentaran denuncia por este caso, pues dice que los lazos de este tipo son artesanales y que cada persona (o como queramos llamarlos), siempre hacen el mismo tipo de lazo, por lo que se pueden identificar, si pillan donde hay uno puesto.   Las fotos son un poco fuertes, pero os aseguro que en vivo lo es mucho mas.   Evagrio. At this ranch they have many dogs, cats, and horses and they love their animals.    They called a vet and SEPRONA; the vet applied salve and antibiotics to the wound; This morning SEPRONA picked up the galgo and told us the type of trap that he had was not a common type, but a double trap, one of ordinary wire and the other of a wire with spikes (barbwire?) whick causes tearing type wounds. He managed to pull out the wood stake holding the trap (we think this was a snare trap, a wire or rope loop attached to stake and snare the animal around the neck) and he roamed around for a few days dragging this behind him, until he was rescued.   He arrived at the ranch in a weakend condition and last night he could not move. He was fed (a veal steak) and water, and this morning given the same, which he now eats up; he wobbles and cannot walk to well, but he quickly gobbled up the food, and looks at us as if to say "Please let me rest", so we spread out a blanket and he calmly layed down.   His wounds are infected and he has a severe flea and tick infestation, with many ticks inside his ears;   We notice he is very good, even though he is in pain; he has not complained (only when first brought in he cried a little) when he is being treated by the vets. HE IS HEAVENLY AND LOVING.   Juan believes there will no lasting complications even though all he has been through, dragging the traps around, because he is a survivor, and deserves the best.   SEPRONA has told us we can file a complaint, and they are willing to help; the trap is at the Civil Guard headquaters; traps of this type are illegal; if we can find more of them on a ranch they will file a complaint against whoever set them.   The photos are a bit strong, but I assure you seeing the actual animal is much worse.   Evagrio
